Hi, I’m Audrey Granger, and I’m a wildlife artist living in the Canadian Rockies with my wonderful husky.
My work is rooted in a deep connection to nature and wildlife. From working with horses, huskies, and gaining an MSc in Wildlife Biology, to spending hours in the mountains, forests, and countryside, I've always felt at home in the wild. This connection is what fuels me and drives my artistic ambitions.
I work primarily in ballpoint pen, an accessible medium I discovered which opened an endless world of possibilities.
The simplicity of black and white portraits paired with the incredible depth, textures, and tones, make this unique medium a captivating style which allow me to bring wildlife to life in a unique way.
Each portrait is a letter of love to the species, one that takes anywhere from 50 hours or more (size dependant) to carefully create.
My art isn’t just about wildlife – it’s about the connection we share with these creatures. I hope my work sparks curiosity about how animals think, feel, and experience the world, encouraging people to appreciate their beauty and complexity. Through my art, I hope viewers feel a deeper connection to the wild and are inspired to protect the animals that share our world. If I can spark a conversation about the individuality of just one animal, then I’m a happy artist.
Pieces are available for commissions - simply drop me an email and lets work together!
You can find my work on display and for sale at Stonewaters, the Three Sisters Gallery, Art for the Heart, and Yamunska Wolfdog Sanctuary, Canmore, AB.
